Purple & Orange

By random chance my new bedroom morphed into a combination of coral and lilac. Not the most traditional of color combos, but it definitely made my eyes see it in many other places. Psychologists call that something, can't remember what it is...

But until I fully finish installing my bedroom, take a look at some of the pleasing purple and orange combinations I've seen lately...

Moroccan Oil

Most people by now know about Moroccan oil, but if you don't you are missing out! I have fine hair so was reluctant to use it at first, but boy am I glad I did! Frist of all it smells divine! And it doesn't weigh hair down a bit! I use it prevent damage and as an added detangler with wet hair. Just pour about the size of a dime (at least for shoulder length hair) into your hands and then work into the ends...

LONNY

OMG!!! If you haven't heard of Lonny yet, go there immediately! It is just fabulous!! Basically a few people from Domino created it when the greatly beloved shelter magazine closed its doors. I want to devour each page and can't wait until the next issue comes out.

As an added bonus, many of the items have links to manufacturers' websites. Ingenious!

Seda France Candles

Who doesn't love candles? Personally, I'm a floral girl. Fruity candles are just too sweet for me. Sometimes I can handle something spicy, but I know I can't go wrong with a heady floral scent.

There are many wonderful candle companies--most people talk about Votivo, which is GREAT, but I think Seda's are just as wonderful. And the packaging is amazing! The chinoiserie pagoda box with tassel, the bright color combinations... I just love it!

My favorite scents are Hyacinth, Japanese Quince, China Musk, Cutting Garden, and French Tulip.

YSL Touche Eclat

Meaning "radiant touch," this is a wonder tool. Worn alone as a concealor, or on top of concealor, this little baby does the trick.

The first of the "brightening/highlighting" pens, I truly think YSL's is the best. It's not too pink, not too yellow; provides sheer but enough coverage to use alone as a concealor for everyday use. It doesn't cake or flake, and provides excellent airbrushing around the nose and on the forhead between the eyebrows.

See YSL's website for purchase:
